HANDYMAN / WOOD REPAIR & RESTORATION
Worth keeping.
Worth repairing carefully.
Existing doors, benches, trim and wooden parts can sometimes be repaired or renewed. I’ll look at the damage, the material and the result you want before proposing the work.
Photo review first. Scope and project price agreed before work begins.
START WITH THE DETAILS
Show me what needs attention.
One wider photo, a couple of close-ups and your city are enough to start.
If the condition, measurements or access need a closer look, we’ll discuss a visit before scheduling.
THE SCOPE
Condition decides the approach.
Loose joints and damaged parts
Show the joint, the whole piece and any movement. Repair depends on how the original part is made and whether the surrounding material is sound.
Replacement wooden sections
A worn or broken section may be replaceable without discarding the entire piece. We’ll discuss the fit, material and how the repair will look.
Preparation and finish
The old coating and condition of the wood affect the options. I won’t promise an invisible match or a finish that the existing surface cannot support.
FROM THE PROJECT ARCHIVE
New slats. The original bench frame.
A garden bench brought back into use with replacement wooden slats. The project includes before and after photos.
FROM THE PROJECT ARCHIVE

A few useful answers.
Can you estimate from photos?
Photos are the starting point. Some details need measurements, a site visit or investigation before I can confirm the scope and price.
Do you charge by the hour?
I quote the agreed project. Materials, preparation, access and the finish affect that price. Changes are discussed before extra work begins.
