The visible boards are only part of a gate. The clearances, hardware and relationship to the posts affect how it works. The video is a useful way to see the proportions and finished woodwork on this particular job.
Repairing an existing gate starts elsewhere
For a gate that drags or will not latch, I first need to understand what is moving. A hinge adjustment will not solve a failing post. Send the whole opening, hinges, latch and post bases.
