From my work: new metal flashing at an existing brick chimney.

THE SMALL DETAILS THAT DESERVE A CLOSER LOOK

Focused repairs. A clear next step.

A lifted shingle, a worn ridge or cracked patching at a chimney can be a reason to take a closer look. Send the concern and I’ll confirm whether it fits a small handyman repair or needs a roofing specialist.

01 / SHINGLES

Damaged shingle repair

Localized torn, loose or missing asphalt shingles. The surrounding roof condition and available matching materials help determine a sensible repair.

02 / RIDGE CAPS

Ridge cap repair

Worn or damaged shingles along the roof’s ridge. A closer look establishes the affected section and whether a localized repair is appropriate.

03 / CHIMNEY FLASHING

Chimney flashing repair

Cracked patches and deteriorated metal where the chimney meets the roof. See an actual repair below, from preparation to replacement flashing.

Small repairs within handyman scope. Work requiring a permit, structural work or a licensed roofing contractor is flagged before scheduling.

BEFORE THE WET SEASON

When was your last roof check?

If it’s been a year or two, a seasonal visual check is a useful starting point. Tell me about missing shingles, a ceiling stain, an old patch or any concern you’ve noticed.

I’ll review the location, roof type and access with you, then confirm a suitable visit. There’s no need to climb onto the roof to send photos.

FROM FIRST MESSAGE TO FINISHED DETAIL

A straightforward way to get it sorted.

01 / SHARE

Tell me what you’ve noticed.

Send your city, roof type if known, and photos taken safely from the ground or inside. Mention any leak or ceiling stain and when it appears.

02 / REVIEW

Check the scope together.

We confirm access and arrange a suitable inspection. You’ll know the proposed repair, materials and project price before work begins.

03 / COMPLETE

Review the finished work.

We go over the result and any other concerns identified. Unexpected conditions or changes in scope are discussed before extra work goes ahead.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Roof repair questions, answered.

Is the seasonal roof inspection really free?

Yes—the seasonal visual roof check is offered at no charge for suitable properties in my service area. We confirm the location, roof type, access and appointment first. Any repair is separately scoped and quoted before work starts.

Can you help with a roof leak?

Send a description of the leak, when it happens, and photos of the visible damage from a safe location. I’ll confirm whether it looks suitable for a small repair or needs a licensed roofing specialist. Mention any active water entry when you contact me.

Do you replace whole roofs?

This service focuses on localized maintenance and small repairs. Full roof replacement, structural work and jobs requiring permits or a licensed roofing contractor are outside my handyman service.

How much does a roof repair cost?

The affected area, roof condition, materials and safe access determine the price. Photos help start the conversation, but some work needs a closer look. You’ll receive a price for the agreed project before repairs begin.

Is this an inspection for insurance or a home sale?

No. The free seasonal check is a visual maintenance assessment, not a roof certification, insurance report or real-estate inspection. Tell me if you need formal documentation so you can arrange the appropriate specialist.

Where do you offer roof repair and maintenance?

I’m based in Auburn and consider suitable small projects around the Auburn and Sacramento region, including Newcastle, Loomis, Rocklin, Roseville and nearby foothill communities. Check the service-area guide and send your location to confirm availability.
